GROUPON Question and Answers.

Smell, Sip and Savor!

What do we get?

This is a mix and mingle style tasting where you will experience 9 different wines (red and white) and pair them with 4 different cheeses,
compare the aroma of 3 different wines with specific nuances of like items such as apple or leather and 2 different chocolates.
You will also receive a pre-selected bottle of wine to take home with you. You will receive 15% off anything you buy in the store the night of the tasting. All wines, cheeses and chocolates will be available for purchase.

How is the tasting set up?

It is a mix and mingle tasting with three stations. You will receive a plate of cheese and chocolate to share between the two of you as well as a list of what you are tasting and two glasses (you don't have to share glasses) :-). You will start at table one with your first wine and move to table two and then on to table three. You will do this three times to complete the tasting.

How often do you do tastings?

We do about 6 tastings a month. We alternate the day of the week between Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in order to accommodate the different schedules for our customers. There will be no tastings between December 15th and January 2nd.

What times are the tastings?

On weeknights, the tastings start at 6:30 and go until 8:30. We book start times for the weekday tastings at 6:30, 6:45, 7:00 and 7:15 On Saturday's we start at 3:00pm and end at 6:00pm. We book Saturday tastings at 3:00, 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, 4:45, 5:00 and 5:15.

How long do the tastings last?

That depends on you. Since it is a mix and mingle tasting, it depends on how much time you take between stations and interact with other people. Most of the time it takes between 30 to 60 minutes.

Do I need a reservation?

Yes, you do. The tastings book up quickly, so if you want your choice of dates, please keep an eye on our website for the available dates. Once this Groupon launches, we'll get a rush and then we will be in the holidays. It will slow down a bit in January, February and March, so please be patient. I assure you, we will have enough tastings to get everyone in - as long as everyone doesn't wait until the last month to book. :-).

What if I am running late?

We DO want you to be on time. We book starting times for crowd control and flow for your comfort. BUT - if you are running late, just get here as soon as you can and we will get you through the tasting. If you are going to be more than 30 minutes late, please call to see what you should do.

When do you post the tasting dates?

We do our best to post the tasting dates the evening of the 20th for the following month.

How do I book a tasting?

You can either send us an email by clicking the email address on the tasting page or you may call us. It is best if you call during business hours. 11-9pm Tuesday - Saturday and 12-6 on Sundays.

I bought more than one voucher, will the wines be the same at all of the tastings?

We do change the wines from tasting to tasting, but there is a chance one might overlap. For the most part, you will receive different wines. The cheeses and chocolates will be the same.

Is there parking?

There is metered street parking. There is also a standard parking lot a half a block south of our store.

Can we extend the expiration date?

This is a great question! Glad you asked. :-) No, we promise to have enough tastings to accommodate every Groupon sold and then some throughout the year. So, please, please and please DON'T forget about your Groupon. Waiting until the last month to come in for your tasting will cause a HUGE traffic jam and you might not get in for a reservation. Oh, and then you will be mad at me. :-(

I hope this helps and I hope you purchase the Groupon.

Cheers,
Jeff Durbin
